In your science or chemistry class, you learned that atoms are made of protons and neutrons at the nucleus and orbiting electrons known as shells surrounding the nucleus and that these outer shell electrons are able to bond to other shells of other atoms to form molecules. An example is water made of 2 Hydrogen atoms and one Oxygen atom H2O.
